Junior Ladies - 21st March

We travelled to Rockchapel for opening county league.

Lisgoold performed well for first game of the season but the home team had an early lead of 5 points with the wind behind them and followed with a goal and 2 more points. This lead would have been more were it not for some great saves by Trish Walsh, our goal keeper. Lisgoolds opening score came from a free taken by Catherine O'Connell.

We were unlucky not to hit the back of the net by Maureen O'Riordan after good work from Leah Hogan. In the second half, Lisgolld emerged a different team and held the home side to a few scores. Lisgoold added to the scoreboard with 2 frees taken by Laura O'Shea. There was several good performances on the day by our ladies and an exceptional game by Trish Tobin. We want to thank those from the junior ladies, minors and under 16s who had such an early start to make their way north for this game.
