U16 League v Aghada

U16 Lisgoold 5.01 Aghada 3.10

This was a very hard fought match with the result in doubt right up tothe end. The girls as always gave everything in defence and attack.Aghada had the best of the first half, but as usual our girls improvedas the match went on and , in the end , a draw was a fair result for the performance and effort as well as skill level displayed by both sides. We threatened to score a goal with every attack but faced a resolute Aghada defence who gave up scores very reluctantly.

The final score tells the accurate story of a free flowing , high scoring encounter. This was a match we could have won and if the girls can keep up this level of determination another victory won’t be long coming. We are very grateful for the wonderful support we continue to receive , especially with this match being our first home fixture of the season.
