This match was played in a very sporting manner between two teams thatgave everything in what was a very enjoyable match, which was muchcloser than the final score might otherwise suggest. Thanks to determineddefence in the first half, Carrigtwohill failed to score a goal in thefirst half, though they did score seven points. Just before half time,Taylor Bradley lifted Lisgoold spirits with an excellently taken individual goal to leave the scoreCarrigtwohill 0..07 Lisgoold 1.00 at the short whistle.
Carrigtwohill upped the pressure considerably in the second half and finallymanaged to put the ball in the Lisgoold net to extend their lead to seven points midway through the second period. There then followed a sustained passage of play in the game during which Lisgoold were completley in control, which resulted in Orlaith Tully registering a goal and a point, leaving just a goal between the sides. Unfortunately, Carrigtwohill countered with two late goals to leave the final score at Lisgoold 2-01, Carrigtwohill 3-07.
